Globally, Low-Back-Pain (LBP) is the leading cause of Years-Lived-with-Disability (YLD). Greater attention is urgently needed to mitigate this increasing burden and the impact it is having on health and social systems (Wu et al. 2020).

.. und Yoga hilft?

Studien deuten schon lange an, dass entsprechend angepasstes Yoga helfen kann. Haeufig waren die untersuchten Teilnehmerzahlen zu gering, um statistisch signifikante Aussagen machen zu koennen – neuere Untersuchungen mit groesseren Stichproben legen nahe, dass Yogakurse bei unspezifischen chronischen Kreuzschmerzen eine gute Alternative zu Physiotherapie und normaler Behandlung sein koennen (Tilbrook et al. 2011, Saper et al. 2017).
